Come to the High Cotton on the Bayou Festival at the Scott Settlement in Scott Arkansas and step back into history! Enjoy a wonderful day full of turn-of-the-century family-style fun!

Tour authentic plantation buildings that compose the Scott Plantation Settlement. Watch demonstrations of heritage skills such as grinding and cooking sorghum, blacksmithing, spinning yarn, needlework, and butter making.

Special crafts are available for children with creative spirits. Children will also enjoy playing heritage games such as hopscotch, jumping rope, sack races, and walking on stilts. Parents can join their children in face painting.

Listen to live music while you stroll or ride around the settlement on an antique school bus. Ride a hay wagon within the Scott Connections compound. Music will be provided by the following artists: Roundelay, Duets by Carol Dabney and Rod Ragsdale, and local talent.

The Sweet Shop located in the original Scott Train Depot will offer coffee and a selection of homemade goodies from start to finish.

Local produce venders, authors, and artists will have items available for purchase.

Be a Vendor at the High Cotton on the Bayou Festival!

Participate in in the High Cotton on the Bayou Festival as a vendor. All authors, artists, craftsmen, photographers, musicians with CD's, and produce farmers are welcome to set up booths to market items they personally create/grow. Vendors may also market creative works produced by other Arkansas artists. All vendor offerings must be appropriate for viewing by family style audience. Vendors are encouraged, but not required, to demonstrate how they produce their items for sell.



All proceeds from booth sales go to vendor. Vendors are responsible for collecting and filing any necessary taxes. Vendors must furnish all components for their booths

such as tables, chairs, and tent for shade. Vendor booth spaces are located outside on a grassy field.



Vendor booth space is $10 which includes admission for one adult. Booth space must be reserved a week prior to the event. To reserve a booth space, mail checks payable to Scott Connections to: Scott Connection P.O. Box 214 Scott AR, 72142



Vendors need to set-up booths between 9:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. and take down booths between 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.. Vendors may drive to their booth space for booth set-up and take down before 9:30 a.m. and after 4:30 p.m. Vendors arriving after 9:30 a.m. must walk booth components to Settlement ground. No vehicles permitted on Settlement grounds during the High Cotton on the Bayou Festival.
