Description:

From Annual Hot Springs Arts & Crafts Fair Website:

The annual Hot Springs Arts & Crafts Fair began in 1968. In terms of attendance and sales, it is one of the oldest and largest arts and crafts fairs in the state of Arkansas. The history of the Hot Springs Arts & Crafts Fair is almost as rich and colorful as the city of Hot Springs itself. The Fair has grown into an event for the entire family and features great fair food, pony rides and a petting zoo for children.

Held annually on the first full weekend (a Friday, Saturday & Sunday) in October, residents of Hot Springs and surrounding areas, consider The Arts and Crafts Fair to be the official kickoff event heralding the rapidly approaching Christmas season.

The Arts and Crafts Fair is traditionally held in Hot Springs at the Garland County Fairgrounds and 2007 marked the opening of the new Garland County fairground. Since opening the fair in 2007 at the new fairground location, there has been record numbers of Craftsmen, Artisans, and Vendors from Arkansas and several other states, both near and far, to participate in the annual event. It is larger, more conveniently located, boasts outstanding features, spacious parking, hook-ups for vendors campers, shower facilities, several large enclosed buildings, and several roofed buildings. Because it is approximately 40% larger, it can accommodate more craftsmen and vendors than the old fairground.
