| Description: | The ARKANSAS APPLE FESTIVAL is held every year during the first weekend of October in Lincoln, Arkansas. It is guaranteed to provide a weekend of fun for the whole family, no matter how old you are. Join us as we celebrate our bounty of apples and three days of wholesome family entertainment at the Arkansas Apple Festival. The center piece of our apple festival is the unequaled variety of arts and crafts featuring works of some of the most talented artisans in the Ozarks. These three days are bursting full of activities with contests for kids, a Queen Pageant in our 500 seat auditorium, musical entertainment, gospel singing, and much more. Youngsters are welcome in our special Kid\'s World. And yes, there will be an abundance of apple cider and free apple slices. Arts and Crafts The centerpiece of our festival is the unequalled variety of arts and crafts, featuring works of some of the most talented artisans in the Ozarks. We also have fresh sliced apples and samples of cool apple cider served at no charge during the exhibition. You will not believe the range of arts and crafts displayed around the Square. Everything one can imagine and all of the participants (and we mean all) are hand-crafted. Everything from Xmas decorations to wood craft, carvings, baskets, hand made dolls, jewelry and needle work of all description. One of the largest arrays of hand crafted or unique items for which the Ozarks are famous. Everything from the usual to the unusual will be on display. Be prepared to spend the weekend seeing all there is to see. Shopping for the holidays is great and an opportunity to talk with the artisans about their work. The Apple Festival has been going on for many years and each of the participants have to go through a screening process to get a booth. Many have been coming for years, yet we have many new exhibitors each year. If it is not here, their will be someone to tell you where you can get it. | |||
